Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy involves a detailed assessment to get to the route cause of your challenge.
I allow 70 mins for an initial assessment and treatment. Follow up treatments are 45 mins. This gives us time for you to relax and not feel rushed.
At Cytokine Physiotherapy you’ll be treated in a private room at the top of a non - intimidating family run cross fit gym (disclaimer, you will have a small flight of stairs to walk up)
In the session I will aim to understand what provokes your problems/ pain through a detailed conversation, followed by a physical assessment and treatment in a safe space
Whether your problem or injury occurred through general life, work or sport - I aim to help you understand what is going on and get back to what you want to do.
A Physiotherapy session may involve some or all of the following:
- Manual therapy
- Exercise adaptation techniques
- Exercise and fitness programming
- Deep tissue massage
- Trigger point point work
- Sports taping
- Nutritional support
- Habit formation

Massage has been applied for centuries. It increases blood flow, alters hormonal function and increases mobility. These factors can have significant impact on pain and restoring function. It’s also a chance to switch off from a busy life and maybe help us get some headspace.
I can apply deeper tissue massage or massage aimed more at relaxation. We will determine what you need.
